Predictive Maintenance
Predictive Maintenance techniques are designed to help determine the condition of the machine, equipment or tool in operation, so that a fact based estimate of maintenance window could be determined. Thus it can be more aptly termed as the prediction of a likely failure based on a condition based assessment.
As it relies on the actual condition of the equipment, rather than historical records of failure, it not only saves costs, avoids unwanted downtime, but also reduces chances of accidents, thereby improving plant safety factor. Intelligently placed IoT based sensors and Machine Learning algorithms are used to estimate the actual condition of the system and to forecast its future state, under load and stress.
Octave has the capability of creating an intelligent IoT layer on existing manufacturing set-ups, older machineries and equipment to enable predictive maintenance.
